Meet Your Artist
My Story
Up until high school, I had imagined becoming an architect. I always had a fascination with emaculate buildings. The thought of a career based around designing and constructing something so complex and beautiful was intriguing. Freshman year, I believed I was going to be an artist. (Yep, I was a big time doodler) It wasn't until my sophomore year though, in my Intro to Cooking class, that I developed a passion for the culinary arts. I felt very comfortable working in a kitchen. By the time I had to start applying to colleges and choosing majors, I needed to make a choice: go for either architecture, art, or culinary. I took a chance and chose culinary.

I decided to enroll into the Baking & Pastry program at Kendall College in Chicago, IL where I learned almost everything I needed to know about desserts... from scratch to finished product. From there, I decided to dabble more into the cake world and wanted to hone my skills and build upon what I had already learned. I enrolled into the L'art du Gateau program at The French Pastry School to learn from some of the top pastry chefs in the industry. There, I learned techniques that would catapult my cake and pastry skills to a higher degree.
In hindsight, I am still doing everything I wanted to do. I might not be designing a high rise or channeling my inner Monet, but I still get a chance to design and construct my desserts whereas my unfinished cakes and pastries become canvases for me to make something beautiful. Although most of my work won't last more than a few days physically, I hope what I provide for my clients will become a special memory that will last a lifetime.
